At Tukkuruk Vacation Rentals, we make it easy to book a wide range of services from our website, from travel accommodations to events and activities. In the event you run into an issue, below is a list of the common questions we are asked based on the typical categories. If you have additional questions, just give our office a call and we will be happy to assist you!

Wisconsin Taxes
Vacation Property Rentals are subject to 5.5% state sales tax and 5.5% local room tax.
Equipment Rentals and Products are subject to 5.5% state sales tax.
Booking with Tukkuruk is just like any other booking website. Yes, we use industry-standard encryption (SSL) to ensure that your payment information is securely processed. Your credit card and payment details are processed by the financial institutions and not stored on our servers.
We offer a variety of products and services to create a custom experience for you and your guests. Products and services vary by location and season, so check out our SHOP for current availability.

Experiences and Excursions Products:
- Onsite – Boat tours, guided fishing, snowmobile tours, etc.
- Offsite – Recreation activities, dinners, shows, tours, etc.
- Concierge – Chefs, massages, airport pickups, groceries, etc.
We accept a variety of payment methods including credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, cash, check, and other local payment options depending on your region. You can select your preferred payment method during checkout.
When you are completing your transaction, there will be a section for putting your coupon code prior to the final checkout. Put the code in that section, click “apply”, and you should see the discount applied.
Our Website has two Separate Booking Systems (the backend stuff…):
• One for booking Vacation Rental Properties: Resorts, lodges, cabins, Private rooms, etc.
• One for booking Products or Services: Equipment rentals, products, experiences, etc.
For some products, experiences, or rental equipment, you can book them at the same time as your Vacation Rental Property, but only if you choose them from the available “Add-ons” section, during the checkout process for your Vacation Rental accommodation.
Be aware, not all properties list every available equipment or product for purchase in the “Add-ons” section due to technology restrictions, if something is not listed in the “Add-ons” section during checkout, then, just complete your transaction by purchasing your selection in our online SHOP in a separate transaction any time before your scheduled reservation.
What does this mean in simple terms?
- You cannot combine a Vacation Rental Accommodation with equipment rentals, products, etc. in one transaction, unless it is an “Add-on”, added during the checkout procedure for your accomodation.
- Book your Vacation Rental Accommodation first to secure your dates, then book your “extras” any time up to your stay.
- The cart in upper right corner is for booking Equipment rentals, products, & experiences only, not for your Vacation Rental Accommodation
- You will be charged and invoiced separately from each booking system.
If you believe you were charged you incorrectly, just take note of your reservation #, or purchase order #, and call the office and we can take a look for you. We may need a screenshot or cc statement, or your bank statement showing the incorrect charges.
If the property charged you incorrectly for any onsite purchases, rentals, etc. reach out to the property directly for help.
We only provide partner companies (Experience providers, Concierge services, etc.) with the info necessary to complete your booking. Read our Privacy policy for full details.

BOOKING: Vacation Rental Properties
Yes! All of our FAQ’s are sorted by each section of the website, just follow the instructions.
Peak Season is from June 1 – September 1, and most Vacation Rentals of an Entire Resort/Lodge/Home, will require 7 day stays for most reservations, from Friday to Friday.
Vacation Rental Reservations of an Entire Resort/Lodge/Home, an advance deposit covering 50% of the total amount is required at the time of the reservation booking, with remainder due 30 days before your reservation.
For reservations made within 30 days of arrival, full payment online and completion of both the Lease Agreement and Registration Forms prior to arrival is required.
Vacation Rental Reservations of a private room(s), an advance deposit covering 100% of the total amount is required at the time of the reservation booking.
Payments are accepted online at Tukkuruk.com via; Direct bank payment, Ach, or credit cards.

1. Goto the Properties Page on our Tukkruk.com website.

2. Choose the property you are interested in, and view its calendar for full availability.
3. Select the preferred dates by entering them into the boxes, or use your mouse to select them directly from the calendar.
4. If the Property is available, the color will be green, if not available, its red.
5. The price is also shown for each day listed below the date number. Ie; 1.5k = $1,500
6. Many properties have different “minimum nights” requirements, based on season, weekends, or holidays. If you click on the 1st night, then the next night it allows you to select, will determine the minimum nights allowed, look for this.
7. Finalize and choose your dates, and the click “CONFIRM AVAILABILITY”. Upon clicking, it will now open the booking page with your selected dates. This DOES NOT make a reservation, it just takes you to the booking page to enter your details.

8. If you have booked with us before, you can click the link “Click here to log in” to access your account and any saved information.
9. For Accommodation Type, you should see the property you selected, verify.
10. Choose how many guests are in your group, verify the property can accommodate.
11. Type the name of the person will be the primary “Lease Holder” for the reservation.
12. Choose any “Additional Services” you desire by checking the box next to the item.
13. Enter any Coupon Codes you may have, then click “APPLY”. You should see any discount applied at the bottom in the Price Breakdown section.
14. In the Price Breakdown section, verify all the details of your reservation are correct, including; the dates, property, guests, pricing, discounts, and any Additional Services added to your reservation.
15. Complete your booking request by entering your contact information, .
16. Review the Terms and Conditions, then check the box.
17. Lastly, click the “Book Now” button to confirm your reservation request.
18. You should see a “Reservation Submitted” page open, and then you will also receive a confirmation email showing all your reservation and account login information, and instructions for finalizing your reservation, after being verified by the property.
Important Note: The “Cart” you see in the upper right corner of our website, is specific to purchasing products, rental equipment, and experiences for your stay, you cannot combine a vacation property rental reservation with purchasing equipment rentals and products in the same transaction, with the exception, of adding any available “add-ons” listed in your Vacation Property Listing at your reservation check-out.

Some properties require a signed “Short-Term Rental Agreement” prior to your reservation arrival date, depending on the type of property. If this is required, it will list in the details section of each property listing. The Rental Agreement can be signed in our client Portal anytime between 180 days and 60 days before your Reservation Date.
Your reservation corresponds to the timing outlined in the Short-Term Rental Agreement (the price encompasses rental fees, taxes, and other associated costs, including the property security deposit), based on your request and property availability, as indicated under the arrival and departure dates.
The individual named on the Short-Term Rental Agreement assumes full responsibility for the reservation, including all obligations stipulated in the agreement, as well as the retrieval and return of the property’s keys and other property. The leaseholder must be at least 25 years of age to rent a Vacation Rental Property through Tukkuruk.com
Yes, you can book a reservation on behalf of someone else, but someone that will be staying at the property needs to be a “responsible person” and on the lease. Simply enter their details when prompted during the booking process. The confirmation and any communication will be sent to the email address provided.
A security deposit is required for most all properties, with the specified amount detailed on the property listing webpage, and the first page of the Short-Term Rental Agreement. The purpose of the security deposit is to safeguard the owner’s property, outdoor areas, and contents against any damages.
Additionally, should any Check-out Procedures not be adhered to, supplementary charges will be deducted from the security deposit. Check-out Procedures and Security Deposit deductions are outlined in your properties policies, and in the Property Binder located at each property. Properties will be inspected before and after each tenancy. We kindly request your cooperation in reporting any damages by completing contacting the Tukkuruk Office via telephone or email, or the property manager directly if one is present.
The security deposit, less any applicable charges, will be postmarked within 21 days of your departure date, using U.S. Postal Service. If damage to the premises occurs during your stay and is not reported, the leaseholder will assume responsibility for repairs or replacement. A $50.00 stop payment fee will apply for reissuing lost or stolen checks or checks that are not sent directly our Tukkuruk Office. Additionally, checks returned due to non-sufficient funds will incur current NSF fees as determined by our financial institution.
Generally no, most properties require your reservation be paid in full prior to your arrival. If your booking was made very close to your arrival date, there may be charges due to timing that will be due upon arrival, such as your final balance on your vacation rental, equipment rentals, experiences, or excursions.
Sometimes you’re expected to pay taxes and charges upon arrival if not paid for already in your booking. If this is the case, the amount is stated before you book and in your confirmation email.
If the property requests money that you believe is incorrect, call the office and we will look up your reservation and confirm.
You’ll find payment confirmation in your confirmation email. In the email, there’s also an option to download the payment confirmation and an invoice. If you don’t receive an email, please follow the link to go to your Client Portal in your email, and you can download it there.
Yes! You will receive and email with an invoice and explanation of your charges, as well as a link to your customer portal for your booking information.
You’ll get a confirmation email once your booking is confirmed. This should only take a few minutes but sometimes it can take longer. Check your spam/junk mail folders for your confirmation email, it may be there by mistake. If you still haven’t received any emails, reach out to our office.
We allow a one-time courtesy, reservation date modification by contacting our office, if your reservations is still 60 days out. The reservation modification is subject to availability, seasonality, and any applicable rate changes.
Please refer to our cancelation policy for specific details on modifying or canceling your vacation rental reservation.
Generally, if your reservation is in non-refundable status because of timing, you can cancel, but you will receive no refund. If your booking is partially refundable status, you may receive some refund, but will also loose your deposit.
Each Vacation Rental Property can dictate their own cancelation and refund policies, but below is generally the most common policy we see for “entire home” or similar larger rental agreements. As always, please see the specific details for each individual property regarding their own Resort Polices and Rules, which should be indicated on their own website.
For Entire Resorts, Lodges, Homes, etc., below is our Policies.
To secure a full refund, guests must cancel within 48 hours of making a booking BEFORE any credit card transaction processing fees have gone through, as these are non-refundable by the card issuer. All cancellations will incur a non-refundable fee of $100.00.

These are the Cancelation Policy Timelines:
180+ days from Lease Term – To secure a 100% refund, Tenant must cancel within 48 hours of making a booking and at least 180 days prior to check-in. These cancels will incur a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee, as well as any non-refundable taxes, credit card, or other financial processing fees.
179 – 60 days from Lease Term – If you choose to cancel your Lease between 179-60 days from the Lease Commencement date of this Lease, Tenant will receive a full refund less 25% of the Total Rent of the Lease, as well as any non-refundable taxes, credit card, or other financial processing fees.
59 – 30 days from Lease Term – If you choose to cancel your Lease between 59-30 days from the Lease Commencement date of this Lease, Tenant will receive a full refund less 50% of the Total Rent of the Lease, as well as any non-refundable taxes, credit card, or other financial processing fees.
29 Days or less from Lease Term – If you choose to cancel your trip within 29 days from the Lease Commencement date of this lease, a full forfeiture of all Rent applies.
Terms and Conditions:
- Cancellations may be communicated by phone or done through the online guest portal, but a follow-up written notice via email to our office is required by state law.
- Refunds will be processed and made payable to the leaseholder within 21 days following the clearing of the original Rent payment from our account.
- You are welcome to transfer your reservation to another party, provided a new lease holder is approved by Landlord, and they sign all necessary documents and policies PRIOR to commencement of Lease Term.
In your vacation rental reservation confirmation email, you should see the contact details for the property manager. If not listed, in the event of a problem, you can reach out to us at our office.

To purchase equipment rentals and products, visit our SHOP page and there you will see of the products and services we offer then an make your stay an exceptional experience. Select the available options that suit your needs, and follow the prompts to complete your purchase by entering your details and payment information.
The “Cart” you see in the upper right corner of our website, is specific to purchasing rental equipment and products, you cannot combine a vacation property rental reservation with purchasing equipment rentals and products in the same transaction, except for the “add-ons” listed in your property booking reservation.
Yes! You will receive and email with an invoice and explanation of your charges, as well as a link to your customer portal for your booking reservation information, property contact information, check-in procedures, and cancelation polices.
For all cancelations, any transaction fees associated with the sale, such as credit card fees, service charges, travel charge, etc. will not be refunded, and your total refund will be less these charges.
- Equipment rentals can be canceled up to 30 days before the scheduled activity, for any onsite rentals. Offsite rentals cancels and refunds are determined by the 3rd party.
- Products purchased cannot be returned, but can be exchanged for different sizes, options, etc.
- Experiences can be canceled up to 60 days before the scheduled activity for any onsite paid experiences. Offsite experiences cancels and refunds are determined by the 3rd party.
