At Tukkuruk Vacation Rentals, we make it easy to book a wide range of services from our website, from travel accommodations to events and activities. In the event you run into an issue, below is a list of the common questions we are asked based on the typical categories. If you have additional questions, just give our office a call and we will be happy to assist you!

General Website Questions

Yes! All of our FAQ’s are sorted by each section of the website, just follow the instructions.   

Booking with Tukkuruk is just like any other booking website. Yes, we use industry-standard encryption (SSL) to ensure that your payment information is securely processed. Your credit card and payment details are processed by the financial institutions and not stored on our servers.

  • Experience  – Firewood, propane, fishing gear, etc.
  • Useable’s – Towels, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.

Equipment Rentals:

  • Motorized – Boats, ATV, UTV, etc.
  • Watersports – canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.
  • Recreation – Bicycles, fishing gear,  snowshoes, etc.

Experiences and Excursions:

  • Onsite – Boat tours, catered dinners, snowmobile tours, etc.
  • Offsite – Recreation activities, dinners, shows, tours, etc.
  • Concierge – Chefs, massages, airport pickups, groceries, etc.

Our website platform is designed to help you design, plan, and purchase any aspect of your trip or experience you find valuable to make your stay a memorable one!

We accept a variety of payment methods including credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and other local payment options depending on your region. You can select your preferred payment method during checkout.

When you are completing your transaction, there will be a section for putting your coupon code prior to the final checkout. Put the code in that section, click “apply”, and you should see the discount applied.

No, you cannot book a vacation property and any equipment rentals, or products, etc. at the same time in ONE transaction, unless there are “Add-ons” in your rental property booking you would enjoy.

We have separate booking engines for booking Rental Properties vs Equipment Rentals, Products, Experiences, and Excursions.

Our Website has two Separate Booking Engines:

  • One for booking:  Vacation home properties, private rooms, etc.
  • One for booking:  Equipment rentals, products, experiences, etc.

What does this mean in simple terms?

  1. You cannot combine a vacation home booking with equipment rentals, products, etc. in one transaction.
  2. Book your vacation home rental first to secure your dates, then book your “extras” any time up to your stay.
  3. The cart in upper right corner is for booking Equipment rentals, products, & experiences only.
  4.  You will be charged and invoiced separately from each booking engine.

You won’t, the cart in the upper right corner is for booking rentals, products, experiences.  We use two separate booking engines on our website to create more efficiencies and a better onboarding experiences for our clients. 

First check your inbox and spam/junk mail folders – it might end up there by mistake. If you have a Booking.com account, you can also find your confirmation under the Bookings section of your account.

If you believe you were charged you incorrectly, just take note of your reservation #, or purchase order #, and call the office and we can take a look for you. We may need a screenshot or cc statement, or your bank statement showing the incorrect charges.

If the property charged you incorrectly for any onsite purchases, rentals, etc. reach out to the property directly for help.

We only provide partner companies (Trip Providers) with the info necessary to complete your booking. Read our Privacy policy for full details.

Booking Vacation Rental Properties

Yes! All of our FAQ’s are sorted by each section of the website, just follow the instructions.   

To confirm your reservation, an advance deposit covering 50% of the total amount is required at the time of the reservation booking. Payments are accepted online at Tukkuruk Vacation Homes via; direct bank payment, or credit cards. All rental payments, including the security deposit, are channeled into a Tenkom Inc Interest Bearing Account, with accrued interest allocated to the Agent.

For reservations made within 30 days of arrival, full payment online and completion of both the Lease Agreement and Registration Forms prior to arrival is required.

Vacation Property Booking Instructions:

  1. Goto our property booking engine at booking.tukkuruk.com
  2. You can Search all Properties, or you see all of our Listings below the search area
  3. Select the preferred dates that best meet your needs
  4. Choose how many people will be in your group, and click SEARCH
  5. Many properties have “minimum nights”, so you may not see all available listings
  6. If no properties show up in search, choose “All listings” upper right corner of website
  7. Choose the property you are interested in and view its calendar for full availability
  8. Choose your dates, enter amount of people in your group, and confirm availability
  9. If acceptable, click “BOOK NOW”
  10. Choose any “add-ons” listed in the shopping cart to improve your stay
  11. Complete your booking by entering your details and payment information
  12. You will receive a confirmation email showing all your reservation information

Note: The “Cart” you see in the upper right corner of our website, is specific to purchasing rental equipment and products, you cannot combine a vacation property rental reservation with purchasing equipment rentals and products in the same transaction, except for the “add-ons” listed in your property booking reservation. 

To purchase equipment rentals and products, visit our SHOP page and there you will see of the products and services we offer then an make your stay an exceptional experience. Select the available options that suit your needs, and follow the prompts to complete your purchase by entering your details and payment information.

Below are the details outlined in the formal lease ALL clients of the Lodge are required to sign prior to your stay. This signature ready document will be sent to you after a payment has been made, but prior to your arrival date.

Your reservation corresponds to the timing outlined in the Tenant Lease (the price encompasses rental fees, taxes, and other associated costs, including the property security deposit), based on your request and property availability, as indicated under the arrival and departure dates.

The individual named on this lease assumes full responsibility for the reservation, including all obligations stipulated in the lease, as well as the retrieval and return of the property keys. (Sub-leasing is strictly prohibited.) The leaseholder must be at least 25 years of age to rent through Pokegama Lake Lodge.

Yes, you can book a reservation on behalf of someone else, but someone that will be staying at the property needs to be a “responsible person” and on the lease. Simply enter their details when prompted during the booking process. The confirmation and any communication will be sent to the email address provided.

A security deposit is required for all Pokegama Lake Lodge properties, with the specified amount detailed on the first page of the Tenant Lease Agreement form. The purpose of the security deposit is to safeguard the owner’s property, outdoor areas, and contents against any damages. Additionally, should any Check-out Procedures not be adhered to, supplementary charges will be deducted from the security deposit. Check-out Procedures and Security Deposit deductions are outlined in your Pokegama Lake Lodge Property Binder, which is available at the property. Properties will be inspected before and after each tenancy. We kindly request your cooperation in reporting any damages by completing the Guest Survey or contacting the Pokegama Lake Lodge Office via telephone or email. The security deposit, less any applicable charges, will be postmarked within 21 days of your departure date, using U.S. Postal Service. If damage to the premises occurs during your stay and is not reported, the leaseholder will assume responsibility for repairs or replacement. A $50.00 stop payment fee will apply for reissuing lost or stolen checks or checks that are not sent directly to the Pokegama Lake Lodge Office. Additionally, checks returned due to non-sufficient funds will incur current NSF fees as determined by our financial institution.

Generally no, most properties require your reservation be paid in full prior to your arrival. If your booking was made very close to your arrival date, there may be charges due to timing that will be due upon arrival, such as your final balance on your vacation rental, equipment rentals, experiences, or excursions. 

Sometimes you’re expected to pay taxes and charges upon arrival if not paid for already in your booking. If this is the case, the amount is stated before you book and in your confirmation email. 

If the property requests money that you believe is incorrect, call the office and we will look up your reservation and confirm.

You’ll find payment confirmation in your confirmation email. In the email, there’s also an option to download the payment confirmation as a .pdf. If you don’t receive an email, just call our office for confirmation.

Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details of your reservation, including a reservation number, contact info, and policies. You can also view your booking details on your  reservation dashboard if you’re logged in.

Yes! You will receive and email with an invoice and explanation of your charges, as well as a link to your customer portal for your booking information.

You’ll get a confirmation email once your booking is confirmed. This should only take a few minutes but sometimes it can take longer. Check your spam/junk mail folders for your confirmation email, it may be there by mistake. If you still haven’t received any emails, reach out to our office.

We always resend your confirmation email a few days before check-in. If you made an account, you can also find your confirmation under the Bookings section of your account. If you still need us to resend your confirmation email, reach out to our office.

Please refer to our cancelation policy for specific details on modifying or canceling your vacation rental reservation. 

Generally, if your reservation is in non-refundable status because of timing, you can cancel, but you will receive no refund. If your booking is partially refundable status, you may receive some refund, but will also loose your deposit. 

In your vacation rental reservation confirmation email, you should see the contact details for the property manager.

To secure a full refund, guests must cancel within 48 hours of making a booking and at least 30 days prior to check-in. If a cancellation occurs 30 or more days before check-in but not within 48 hours of booking, guests will receive a refund of 50% for all nights reserved. For cancellations made between 15 and 30 days before check-in, refunds will also be 50% for all nights. All cancellations made after 15 days will not be refunded.

All cancellations will incur a non-refundable fee of $100.00. Cancellations may be communicated by phone, but a follow-up written notice via email to our office is required. In the event that the property is re-booked or partially re-booked, the advanced deposit/full payment or partial advanced deposit/full payment will be refunded, less the $100.00 fee. Our reservation team will make every effort to re-book the property; however, if the property does not re-book, the entire advance deposit/full payment will be forfeited. Refunds will be processed and made payable to the leaseholder within 30 days following the clearing of the subsequent re-rent payment from our account.

The “Cart” you see in the upper right corner of our website, is specific to purchasing rental equipment and products, you cannot combine a vacation property rental reservation with purchasing equipment rentals and products in the same transaction, except for the “add-ons” listed in your property booking reservation. 

To make a property reservation, simply search for your desired service, location, or dates on our booking.tukkuruk.com page.  Select the available options that suit your needs, and follow the prompts to complete your booking by entering your details and payment information.
